For those of you that follow my blog, you might have read Jude's Journal of Confidence #1 - which marked the beginning of my 7 year old sons journey into Youtube and the reasons why I started the channel "Jude's Journal" for him.
We launched his first video on the 30th April 2017 - which was a very impromptu video. If you follow his channel or my posts, you will have noticed that both Jude and I have grown enormously in experience since we published his first video. (yes mom was a noob too lol)
I launched this channel for my little boy to try and develop a little more "outward confidence" - although he is confident in many specific ways, as his mother, I know he lacks it in others.... and so the vlogging began :)
The 30 Day Gratitude Challenge was our second video which was not only loads of fun to make, but also marked the beginning of another very special journey for Jude. I wont spoil the surprise of the challenge itself, I will leave that to the blog post and video - but I came up with the concept to encourage more gratitude in his little world - which you can also read about in my Jude's 30 Day Gratitude Challenge Post.
From one mom to many others - I would suggest you take a watch and perhaps give the challenge a try with your kids - Jude absolutely LOVES the challenge and every single one of the 30 days so far has been documented, which we will share once all 30 days have been completed.
Our third video was purely for fun and also to illustrate to Jude that the videos he shares with his followers need not always be "structured" - they can also be spontaneous - allowing him to just be himself and have fun!
Our next video was inspired by Jude's Science club experiments - it was in my opinion one if his best videos yet, but it required a lot more focus and "re-takes" lol - As I am sure you can imagine, this can be tiring and well... boring to a 7 year old boy... lets face it - attention span is seldom their strong point. haha - but he did fabulously well!
He has literally grown in leaps and bounds and now approaches the camera with an enthusiasm and confidence that he simply didn't have before. He used to shy away from it all and spent most of the time talking to his feet.
His videos have been so well received by those around him that both his "Gratitude challenge" and "Eggs experiment" were shown to his whole school during assembly recently as the principal and deputy principal felt that they would be greatly beneficial to the other students of the school.
Proud mommy moment!!!
As any mother would agree - It is wonderful to see such confidence and courage growing within my your child!! It has been such a fun journey so far - and we are only just at the beginning of the road!
Jude has many "kiddies" channels that he subscribes to - so it is very exciting that he now has his own one! If you have kids and you like his videos - feel free to share it with your littlies :)
We are on day 15 now of the Gratitude challenge - so stay posted for the compilation video after day 30!
Loads of fun and action in store! so don't forget to like and subscribe :)
