It is always wonderful to accidentally discover a place that is an absolute gem!
Built in 1929 Casa Labia is the former Muizenberg residence of Count and Countess Natale Labia. After restoration it was reopened in 2010 and is now considered as South Africa’s most exquisite multi-functional cultural centre.
Nothing beats an impromptu evening out and yesterdays decision to head out for dinner was not on the cards at all, in fact I had spent my entire day in my pj's loafing around on the sofa.
So as promised, there was butternut soup today! My oldest friend and her hubby Andrew joined us for lunch. My bloody luck, I invite people over for soup and the damn sun comes out!!!
I just wanted to say a big fat squeezy public thank you to each and every one of you that made my 39th birthday (noooo... not my 50th @quillfire lol)extra special!
"kalkies" - AKA - Kalk Bay is one of those suburbs that holds a great gravitation for me... so we tend to head out that way every few weeks for a lunch at the Brass Bell or one of their other unique eateries...
It is always great when a day turns into something pleasantly unexpected and unplanned. Jude had a party to attend with his classmates on Saturday doing the one thing they all seem to absolutely LOVE these days - "lasertag" and so Dave and I had just over two hours to kill while Jude was killing his friends... figuratively speaking haha!!
It was an amazing week! Loads of ideas flowing around, creativity and productivity and good feels all round... so..... Anyone want some BEER?!
As some of you may have already seen, I decided to cook a stuffed roast chicken for our Sunday dinner, as the weather was perfectly overcast and suited to a roast. There was a fair amount of the chicken left over, so last night I decided to reinvent it.
