"- Grab a plate and throw it on the floor. - Okay, done. - Did it break? - Yes. - Now, say sorry to it. - Sorry. - Did it go back to how it was before? - No. - Do you understand?" – anonymous
A little bit of contemplation was brought to mind today about a road recently traveled, and I thought I would just share my perspective on it. Considering the fact that I grew up surrounded by men, I have absolutely no issues "mustering an opinion", stating my case or "saying it like it is!"haha - and yes, there were MANY moments where I felt that URGE to "put the record straight" or throw facts in faces - but I never did, because honestly... it is seldom worth the energy!
I think we are all guilty (to some extent) when it comes to veg wastage - and as much as it is gratifying to contribute it to your compost heap... giving it a new life in the form of something edible, is (in my opinion) a lot more gratifying - especially as far as the wallet consideration goes anyway haha!
Ok, so whilst my face is not a fan of the camera lol...the food I prepare apparently feels differently ;) and so I decided to take to the "moving visuals" with the goodies that I cook.
Thankfully, for all my younger years when it actually counted – I was fortunate enough to have a figure which most people considered “good”, but as age crept in and my ridiculously speedy metabolism decided to slow down… that changed a little bit hahaha!!
You have never made a mistake? Never?! - REALLY?!... LIAR! Yip! That is pretty much my summation of those that seemingly have the inability to offer forgiveness to those that “blunder” along their way. We ALL Blunder!
This last Thursday was my turn to play host to my mom and I decided it would be nice to do something a little bit out of the ordinary. I recently bought a whole lot of carrots and baby tomatoes as they were on special at the local food market… so I knew that whatever I was going to do – they were going to be included in the dish.
Last night I got caught up in an "emotionally reflective moment" as I sat and listened to a live video of Linkin Park performing the song "crawling", I began contemplating how utterly sad not only the song was, but also his story and the way in which it ended.
